Many project the world will be nearly 70% urban by 2050 (with 40% in cities over 1 million). Yet the Gospel is moving the slowest in urban contexts. In North America Gospel saturation in cities is actually declining. Reaching the city is crucial to reaching all people.

Working together we can catalyze networks of multiplying disciples, churches, and leaders among the lost in the 50 largest cities on each continent. Then these networks can saturate their city and send missionaries to every people and place.

About Us

Originally from Texas, we spent 3 years in the San Francisco Bay Area while Chris finished his Masters at Golden Gate Seminary. Then we lived in London, England for 9 years as missionaries with IMB sharing the hope of Jesus with teenagers and their families who were far from God. Along the way we realized that we would never be able to share the Gospel enough on our own for everyone to hear. The only way to reach God's vision in Matthew 24:14 and 1 Timothy 2:4 was to make disciples who rapidly make new disciples and gather these into healthy churches that start new churches.

In 2016 God brought us back to the States to join the No Place Left work in Houston and across the U.S. We have a deep yearning to see movements of reproducing disciples and healthy churches birthed in the U.S. that will send multiplying leaders around the world until there is no place left.

The 4 Fields

Jesus modeled His process for Kingdom growth that the disciples followed. A farmer goes to an empty field and scatters seed all over the field. There’s nothing he can do to cause the seed to sprout, but once it does, he nurtures the new growth. When the harvest is ready, he gathers the crop together. Then he takes some of the seed from that harvest to sow in other empty fields. Much like the farmer, Jesus showed his disciples how to go to people who had not heard, share the Gospel, teach new disciples to obey His commands, bring them together to be church, and develop leaders to keep the process going.

We are striving for local ownership of this kingdom process. For God’s vision to be reality in every people and place, we must equip, care for, and release every follower of Jesus to obey Matthew 28:18-20 with Biblical principles, a simple pathway, and reproducing practices, starting right here at home.

HISTORY

The Birth of a Vision

In 2009 we began to collaborae with a handful of disciples and missionaries in Houston to multiply God's glory in London through simple, reproducible Kingdom principles and practices. A conviction to bring the Gospel to the lost of these cities drove the partnership. In 2015 the experience and learning through this collaboration resulted in Movement Church - a simple church in Friendswood, TX with a vision to multiply well beyond their resources or influence. From 2015-2019 this network of disciples shared the Gospel with thousands of people in Houston and beyond, baptized a few hundred new disciples, and multiplied simple churches to the third generation. This became Movement Network - a decentralized network of disciples, churches, and leaders committed to completing the Great Commission together in our generation.

From Houston this network has become an example of what God can do today and a springboard to CATALYZE and COACH other networks. The historical influence of NASA and Houston's oil & gas industry on the global market have created roads that stretch around the world through medicine, aerospace, energy, investment, sports, technology, shipping, and more. Recognizing the opportunity these roads provide for the expansion of the Gospel and following the fruit of what God was doing, Movement Network began to expand beyond Houston in 2019 to serve the Kingdom multiplication happening in other cities through this network and the No Place Left coalition.

Today Movement Network continues to iterate and grow as we look to the next gaps to take the Gospel and play our part in the completion of the Great Commission in our generation.
